This guide will show you how to cancel your ExpressVPN subscription before your subscription ends.

Important: To cancel your subscription, you need to go to the app store or the ExpressVPN website. You cannot cancel your subscription within the ExpressVPN app.

What happens to the logins stored in my ExpressKeys account?

Subscriptions purchased with a credit card, PayPal, Apple Pay, or Google Pay

On desktop and mobile devices:

  1. Open any browser and go to expressvpn.com.
  2. Click My Account in the top right corner.
  3. Sign in with your email and verification code.
  4. In the left menu, click Subscription.
  5. Scroll down to Subscription details.
  6. Click Cancel Subscription and follow the prompts.

After you have canceled, you will not be billed automatically for another subscription cycle. You can still use ExpressVPN until the last day of your current subscription cycle.

Subscriptions purchased via an app store (Apple App Store or Google Play store)

To avoid charges, cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the free trial or the next billing date. Otherwise, your account will be automatically billed based on your selected plan.

To cancel your free trial or subscription:

On iPhone/iPad (Apple App Store):

  1. Open the App Store.
  2. Tap your profile icon in the top right.
  3. Tap Subscriptions.
  4. Find and tap ExpressVPN.
  5. Tap Cancel Subscription and follow the prompts.

On Android (Google Play Store):

  1. Open the Google Play Store.
  2. Tap your profile icon in the top right.
  3. Tap Payment & subscriptions.
  4. Tap Subscriptions.
  5. Find and tap ExpressVPN.
  6. Tap Cancel Subscription and follow the prompts.

After you cancel, you can still use ExpressVPN until the last day of your current subscription cycle.

Subscriptions purchased with Bitcoin or Paymentwall

Since subscriptions purchased with Paymentwall or Bitcoin will not renew automatically, you will not need to manually cancel your subscription.

What happens to the logins stored in my ExpressKeys account when I cancel my ExpressVPN subscription?

You can still access the logins stored in your ExpressKeys account even if your subscription is no longer active. However, you can’t add any new entries.
