How to get Identity Defender

Note: Identity Defender is currently only available in the U.S.

Identity Defender is included with all ExpressVPN Advanced and Pro subscription plans. Included features may vary based on the subscription plan you choose.

Purchase a subscription

If you have yet to buy an ExpressVPN subscription and want to use Identity Defender, you have two options:

1. Purchase an Advanced or Pro subscription from the ExpressVPN website.
2. Purchase a Pro subscription within the Identity Defender app.

Download the Identity Defender app from your app store

Follow the steps for your respective device below:

Android

To get the Identity Defender app on Android:

1. Open the Google Play Store.
2. Go to Search and type “Identity Defender” into the search bar.
3. Tap Identity Defender.
4. Tap Install.

iOS

To get the Identity Defender app on iOS:

1. Open the App Store.
2. Go to Search and type “Identity Defender” into the search bar.
3. Find the Identity Defender app and tap Get > Install.

Download the Identity Defender app from the ExpressVPN+ portal

1. Go to the ExpressVPN+ portal.
2. Enter your account email and click Send Code.
3. Enter the verification code that is sent to your email.
4. Select Identity Defender from the left-side menu.
5. In Activity Hub, scroll down to Device setup.
6. Pick either iOS or Android.
7. Open the camera on your device and scan the QR code. This will bring you to the app store to download Identity Defender.
